The PKA Karate Academy in Pittsburgh is proud to recognize a brand new type of stand-out student.
Beginning in January 2012, students in our Little Dragons, Juniors and Pre-Teen / Teen Programs are monitored and watched weekly and our new special stripe system rewards students that stand out in four areas: discipline, technique, form and school work. At the middle of the semester, instructors have collected enough feedback from parents and families, as well as, class notes to award 1 to 2 students in each class with our specialty stripes.
These students are continually monitored and at the end of the semester one student in each class is chosen as the PKA Karate Academy All-American. These students are not just the achievers. (All students at PKA are achievers.) These students are the SUPER ACHIEVERS in the Martial Arts. They have set their goals above and beyond and live the mission statement of the Academy both on and off the mat: home, school, in their churches and communities.
These recipients receive great perks and are held in very high regard for their hard work and maintaining the highest standards, continually growing and changing for the better in mind, body and spirit.
